This coming Saturday and Sunday, May 25 and 26, Midvale Speedway will have a full weekend of racing to celebrate the Memorial Day holiday.
On Saturday, May 25, Mid-Vid Racing Videos and Bailey’s Photo Service will present Fan Appreciation Night #1. Detroit Irons, Pure Stocks, and Compacts will be in action, while the, always exciting, Powder Puff races for Pure Stocks and Compacts will be held following the regular racing. Grandstand admission for the 25th is only $6 per person. Qualifying will begin a 3:50, while racing will start at 6:30.
Then on Sunday, May 26, Dairy Queen and Citgo will present the Memorial Day Spectacular 100. The competitive Late Model division will have their biggest race of the year, a 100 lapper for $1,500 to win. The Open Wheel Modifieds, Detroit Irons, Pure Stocks, and Compacts will also be in action. Grandstand admission will be $15 for adults/seniors. Pits open at 11, hot laps at 12, qualifying 2-4, and racing action will begin at 4:30.
Due to the past two rainouts, rain checks and wristbands will be good for this weekend only. Pit wristbands can be exchanged Saturday or Sunday. Grandstand passes will also be usable either day, but the difference must be paid if they are exchanged on Sunday. Also, the bicycle racing scheduled for intermission this past Saturday, will be held on June 8.
