The Eagle 107.5 FM/Jayne's Crafts/Auto Trader night was cancelled due to an afternoon front that moved across Ohio, this past Saturday, May 11. The rain started at 5:30, when qualifying was just coming to an end.
Some blistering times were turned, as Rich Dessecker (Late Models), Will Walker (Detroit Irons), and Billy Stutler (Compacts), all broke track records. Due to the rainout, however, all times are wiped out of the record books.
Wristbands that were purchased for the pits may be used this coming Saturday, May 18, as rain checks. As for the fans that were in attendance, hold on to your tickets and use them this weekend.
The speedway will have a test and tune session for competitors this Friday, May 17, from 4:00-8:00. Then on Saturday, May 18, the pits open at 1:30, hotlaps start at 2;00, qualifying runs from 3:50-5:50, and racing starts at 6:30. Late Models, Modifieds, Detroit Irons, Pure Stocks, and Compacts will run. A special bicycle race for kids (ages 6-16), both boys and girls, will be held at intermission.
