An invert of 12 set the field for the next feature, with Delmar Clark and Nic Peebles starting on the front row. Peebles battled hard on the outside as multiple drivers charged forward, but Clark and Peebles ran side by side for several laps. Behind them, Rich Dunlap, Josh Irwin, Andrew Bethards, Kaeden Scott, and Chase Beatty were all locked in a tight battle. The first caution came out for Ryan Tedesco and Brayden Furby, after Furby wasn’t clear and made contact. On the restart, Clark and Peebles led the field back to green, but a quick yellow flew as leaders didn’t slow enough to allow the field to catch up. On the next attempt, Clark got out front with Josh Irwin slotting into second. Peebles dropped to fifth, and contact came soon after when Beatty locked up the brakes and clipped Peebles. Both saved it, but Leslie had nowhere to go and suffered damage. Back to green, Clark and Peebles battled again, but trouble struck on the backstretch when Kaeden Scott went up in smoke. On the restart, Clark and Rich Dunlap made up the front row, but the initial attempt was called back for Dunlap jumping early. Chuck Elkins III dove under France to take second, and Phil Cox followed him through to grab third. Williams pushed up off the bottom while Cox ran high, and as Cox came down, he and Elkins III made contact. Another caution flew moments later when Passwaters spun in turn four. The first caution came when Reitter got into Jaberg in turn three. After the restart, a quick yellow waved again when Riddle nearly spun but managed to save it. Back to green, Lushes got another good jump as Riddle looked to the inside of Ren for second. Andrew Smart also made a move to the outside of Reitter to grab third. Debris on the front stretch brought out another caution, setting up a battle between Lushes and Riddle on the restart. Lushes got the early advantage, but Riddle powered off turn two to take the lead. Smart quickly followed Riddle into second, keeping him in sight. Trouble developed for Lushes as he fell off the pace with mechanical issues, ending his charge to the front. Another caution flew when Haney (#77) spun in turn two. On the restart, Riddle and Reitter led the field, with Riddle pulling away as Bob Page followed close behind. The drama continued when Page tried to look low under Reitter, but Reitter came down from the second groove in turns three and four, causing contact and bringing out yet another yellow. Vinnie Tantarelli and Jason Grewell set the pace for 20 laps, with Tantarelli pulling out to an early lead. From fourth, Hughes began charging forward, while Ambrose and Nate Smart powered around the outside of Gary Hoopingarner to take over fourth and fifth. In turn three, Ambrose dove inside Hughes and the two made contact, but both saved it as the race stayed green. Ambrose then turned his attention to Grewell for second, looking high and low. Smart slipped to the inside of Ambrose as the battle heated up, while Ian Porco pressured Hughes for fifth. The first caution came when Cody Kahler got into the back of Hoopingarner off turn four. On the restart, Tantarelli and Grewell again brought the field to green. The pack went three rows deep, two wide into turn one, but Hughes drifted up the track, causing Carte to spin and bringing out another yellow. Hughes then came to pit road, leaking fluid into turn one. That set up a restart with Tantarelli and Ambrose on the front row. Vinnie pulled ahead briefly, but Ambrose stayed right to his outside. Smart looked under Ambrose while Tantarelli tried to hold the high side. Coming off turn four, Tantarelli got a little sideways, and Ambrose gave a tap to the bumper, sending him across Smart’s nose. That set up a final-lap shootout between Tantarelli and Smart. With momentum on the outside, Nate Smart surged into the lead.
