Thursday, April 25th Ohio's Fun Place to Race!! 2024 Race Season Attention May 30, 2020 ATTENTION Track Owner John Chapman received a phone call today from our local Health Department Director Katie Seward. She notified us that we CANNOT OPEN. The reason she gave was that the Governor has not lifted the "No gatherings of no more than 10 people" temporary order. So our question is, how can 300 people come together in an indoor banquet hall for a wedding reception? Walmart, Lowes and now all the restaurants can open, all with more than 10 people gathering indoors..... and we were told "no you can't open". This is beyond frustrating and we cannot apologize enough to our Driver's, Teams, Official's, Employees, Sponsors, Partners and FANS!!! To be given the "Go Ahead" just 24 hours ago and now, to have that rug pulled out from underneath us is truly unbelievable!! Midvale Speedway was given permission to continue with the Private Testing Sessions that we have been having. That is atleast 1 positive out of this. So, we will continue to fight to open our facility to Driver's, Teams and FANS, while holding Private Testing like we have been doing. We will continue to prepare the facility for opening night and we will continue to work with our sponsors and partners during this difficult and frustrating time. We want ALL of the race fans and ALL of the racing facilities to ban together during this time. Just like our Government has said "We Are In This Together"!!
