Midvale Speedway Loses Second To Rain
June 2, 2001
For the second time this season, rain canceled the racing action at Midvale Speedway. Five divisions and spectator drags were scheduled to run on June 2, but all action was called off around noon on raceday.

The North American Auto Racing Series, NAMARS, will be competing at the Midvale Speedway at Midvale, Ohio, on Saturday night, June 9, 2001. This Super Truck Series utilizes "spec" 5.0 liter engines and a "spec" type of chassis. The competition is always fierce.

Coming into the Midvale event, the NAMARS Super Truck point standings show that there is currently a tie for the number one spot. Kory Sebenoler of Lima, Ohio, and Rowdie Embry of Winchester, Indiana, both set with 335 points coming into this event. Only five points back is Bruce Harlep in third, with 1999 champion Mark Krider in fourth. Krider’s son, Lance, is in fifth spot.

The series, running most of its events in Indiana, has found teenager Kory Sebenoler in victory lane with his 2001 Chevy Silverado at Baer Field Speedway, while Ken Langhals was the winner at Winchester. Ronnie Perrine, Jr., was the winner of the previous Midvale Speedway event.

Midvale Speedway’s regular five divisions, Late Models, Modifieds, Detroit Irons, Pure Stocks, and Compacts, will also be in action. Qualifying will begin at 4, while racing will start at 6:30.
