 UPDATE:Racing for Saturday, July 11 has been postponed due to early afternoon rain and a not so favorable forecast for 5-6 o'clock.
Family night 2009 is now scheduled for this coming Saturday, July 18 at Midvale Speedway. The event, introduced a couple of years ago, includes racing from all five divisions plus a bicycle give-a-way for kids at intermission.
Each year, drivers and teams pull together to present children with bicycles by way of a drawing at intermission. Last year, in upwards of 20 bikes were given away. Bikes and cash donations for bikes are still being accepted. In order to make sure we have a sufficient breakdown in sizes for the age groups, please let the speedway know if you plan on supplying a new bike and what size you are bringing. To do so, email info@midvalespeedway.com or call 330-340-1566.
Late Models, Sport Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Compacts will race. Spectator drags and the bicycle give-a-way will be held at intermission.
Pit gates open at 2, hotlaps start at 3, qualifying will begin at 4:45, and racing takes the green at 6:30. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors 62+, $6 for kids 6-15, and children five and under are free.
