Scattered showers and thunderstorms claimed Texas Roadhouse night at the races this past Saturday, August 13. Late Models, Sport Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Compacts were all scheduled to run, while a kid’s gold rush was going to be held at intermission.
While the racing action will not be rescheduled, the kid’s gold rush will be held on Saturday, September 3, for kids 10 and under. Those who purchased tickets or pit passes for Saturday can use them on either Saturday, August 27 or Saturday, September 3. They will not be valid for this Friday’s event.
Racing will continue this coming Friday, August 19, as the Main Event Racing Series Super Late Models will return to action with the Miller Lite 75. In addition to the Outlaw Bodied Super Late Models, Sport Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Compacts will race in heats and features.
Gates open Friday at 3:00, hotlaps will start at 4:00, qualifying is at 6:00, and racing will start at 8:00. In the event of a rainout, the event will be run on Saturday with racing to start at 6:30. Pit admission is $25 for members and $30 for non-members. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults/seniors and $8 for kids 6-15. Children five and under are free.
