Ohio's Fun Place to Race!! 2026 Race Season |
 | April 23, 2005 |
After two great race nights that saw large fields of cars, exciting racing, and two of the biggest crowds in recent memory, week #3 was cancelled due to rain and snow. The Midvale-Lorain Super 6 Late Model Series was scheduled to have its season opener, while Sport Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Compacts were also on the docket.
The Super 6 event will now be held on Saturday, April 30. The event will feature a 35-lap Late Model feature starring drivers from Lorain Speedway and Midvale Speedway. Sport Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Compacts will race in addition to the Legend Cars, which will make their first appearance this season.
A meet and greet/autograph session is also scheduled to take place for the Legend cars and Super 6 drivers. It will take place after qualifying, which will approximately be between 5:30 and 6:00, so arrive early fans.
The night will also debut the Midvale Speedway “ride along car”. The two-seat , Chevrolet Cavalier Compact division car has been built to allow fans of all ages the chance to ride around Midvale Speedway at race speed. Fans will also get the opportunity to check the two-seater out during the meet and greet/autograph session. Who knows, you may even win the chance to take a ride around the speedway Saturday night with track owner Bear Schwartz or flagman Terry Colletti.
Admission for Saturday, April 30 is regular at $10 for adults, $8 for seniors 62+, and $6 for kids 6-15. Children 5 and under are free. Pit admission is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Pit gates open at 2:00, hotlaps are at 2:30, qualifying is from 4:00-6:00, the Super 6/Legend Car meet and greet autograph session will be held after qualifying, and racing will start at 6:30.
