Due to morning showers and an unfavorable forecast, racing for August 28 was cancelled at Midvale Speedway.
Racing will continue Saturday night, September 4, as all five divisions will be on hand as well as the make-up date for the Legends. The event is sponsored and will pay $500 to win a 4 foot trophy. Drivers from all over Ohio are expected to compete. At intermission, the McDonald's classic car show entries will take a few laps around the speedway. Qualifying begins at 4, while racing starts at 6:30.
The kids ride in cars night has been re-scheduled for Saturday, September 11, the final night of point racing and Season Championship night. The actual car show at the speedway will not be rescheduled.
Lastly, the season ending Run What'ya Brung Fall Classic will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 18 and 19. For the first time ever, the rules for the event are minimal, which allows for many different types of race cars to compete. Complete info on the 2004 Fall Classic can be seen at midvalespeedway.com.
