Hotlaps and qualifying were completed without a problem, this past Saturday, May 24 at Midvale Speedway. However, 7 laps into the Modified make-up feature, a light rain set in over the speedway, and did not let up in time to get the program restarted.
Racing will continue this coming Saturday, May 31, with the Legend cars making their second visit. Opening the program at 6:30 will be the rest of the Modified make-up feature followed by the Pure Stock feature that was rained out two weeks ago. Heats will then be run for all six classes before the feature program consisting of Late Models, Legends, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Compacts, that will run 25 instead of 15, time permitting.
The gates open at 1:30, with hotlaps at 2:00, qualifying 3:50-5:50, and racing to begin at 6:30. Wristbands and rainchecks may be used from this past Saturday for admission on the 31st or on June 7. If used on June 7, patrons will be asked to pay the difference for the special event.
Open practice will be held on Friday from 4-8 p.m. with a $10 pit admission charge.
