Ohio's Fun Place to Race!! 2024 Race Season |
| May 10, 2003 |
Wet conditions and a soggy forecast caused the cancellation of Midvale Speedway’s racing, this past Saturday, May 10.
After four weeks of racing, Barberton’s Don Harvey Jr., is leading the Late Model points by 25 over Clinton’s Mike Miller. New Philadelphia’s Glen Jewell is on top of last year’s champion, Uhrichsville’s Mark Striker, in the Modifieds. In the Pro Stock division, Midvale’s Keith Thomas is leading Carrollton’s Tim Skinner by 35, while Canton’s Joe Oliver leads the Pure Stocks and New Philadelphia’s Kelly McNutt heads up the Compact class.
Racing will continue this coming Saturday, May 17 with all five divisions scheduled to race. At intermission, the very popular kid’s bicycle races will be held for children 6-16. Don’t forget the bikes! Upon entry into the grandstands, Jayne’s Crafts will present mothers with their belated Mother’s Day gifts courtesy of Midvale Speedway. Qualifying will be from 3:50-5:50, while racing will take place at 6:30.
