 Midvale Speedway welcomes it's 4th owners in the tracks 65 year history.
John and Kelley Chapman of Uhrichsville purchased the Speedway from Randy Smith on Friday January 26th.
John has been a fixture at the Speedway for the past 37 years, co-owning Mid-Vid Racing Videos with Craig Mishler, before retiring from behind the lens after the 2016 season. John is the Superintendent of Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville.
Kelley is a Registered Nurse and is the instructor for Introduction To Nursing at Buckeye Career Center for the past 20 years. She also works at Mercy Medical Center in Critical Care Areas.
They have two daughters, Allison Beal, her husband Brian and Hillary Smith, her husband Bryant and their two children Millie and Miles. They are members of Roxford Church in Dennison. Ironically, their first date took place in 1980 at Midvale Speedway, sitting in turn four, watching the races.
During their press conference that was broadcast on Midvale Speedway's Facebook page, they paid homage to the founders and first owners of the Speedway, Gene, Bob and Chris Tolloty and the second and third owners Randy and Sue Smith and Bear and Karen Schwartz. They vowed to bring back a mixture of tradition and new ideas. The Chapman's plan to make Midvale Speedway a year round venue and not just a racing facility.

That doesn't mean we will be done accepting sponsorship...it just means you won't be on the pocket schedule and schedule posters.
