Ohio's Fun Place to Race!! 2024 Race Season |

Wonderful weather for this past Saturday’s racing action. Great drivers were pit side in both the Late Models and Modifieds, ready to go 50 laps.
First feature of the evening was the 50 lapper for the Summit Racing Economy Modifieds. On the front row, was Ripley and Jewell. Green waved but at the line, a wreck happened with #6 of Hutchinson and #88 of Ambrose Jr, had nowhere to go and got hit on the right side. Green waved for a restart, an Ripley would pull into the lead. McCreery in the #2, keep on looking inside and outside. On lap 9, McCreery would take the lead off of turn number four. Lap 12, we seen the first caution which was for the #27 of Swaney cutting a front tire. Green waved for the restart and McCreery would go into the lead. McCreery started to pull away a little. On lap 19, the #55 of Bailey closed the door on Allensworth and spun in turn three. Green would come out again with McCreery jumping into the lead off of turn two, but lap 20, another caution would wave for #55 of Bailey cutting a right rear tire. McCreery and Sibla Jr, on the front row and green waved. McCreery getting a good start, tried to pull away but Sibla wasn’t letting him out of his site. Lap 24, caution for the 336 of Green into the #11 of Ujcich. Green waved with McCreery and Sibla and again, McCreery getting a good start. McCreery started to pull away but lap 32, caution for the #10 spin off turn four on his own. Green waved but another caution but for on the start with the #14 of Wise and #88 of Ambrose getting together. Green waved with 18 to go. McCreery jumped out early but Sibla wouldn’t give up. Sibla tried looking high and low. Lap 48, off turn four, McCreery gets loose and spins on his own. Sibla the new leader. Green waved, and no one could catch him. At the checkered, picking up his 2nd win in 2015, the #82, Bullitt Fabercation, of Bob Sibla Jr. Following Sibla was, Swaney, Cox, Allensworth, and McCreery.
Second feature on the speedway was the J.D. Byrider Street Stocks. On fornt row, was the #74 of Passwaters Jr and #77 of Moss. Green waved, and Passwaters Jr gets a good start and jumps into the lead. Into turn one, Ritchey makes a 3 wide and gets the spot of off turn two, he gets stuck in the outside lane. Passwaters was leading and Smith and Grove, started to challenge for the lead. Lp 15, seen the one and only caution which was for the #77 of Moss into the #74 of Passwaters Jr. Green waved with Grove the leader and started to check out. To the Checkered was the #3 from Uhrichsville of Kyle Grove. Following Grove was, Orr, Smith, Ritchey, and Passwaters Sr. Heats to Smith and Passwaters Jr.
Middle feature of the evening was the 50 lap Late Model race. On the front row, was the #3 of dave Martin and #1 of Bryant Smith. Green waved for the 50 lapper, an Bryant gets a good start on the outside and takes off. Ryan Tedesco, Alex Rosenberry, Bubba Smith were all trying to catch up to Bryant Smith. A couple laps later, Ryan Tedeso gets around Bryant Smith, and starts checking out. On lap 31, we seen the first caution which was for the #1 of Bryant Smith, getting into the left rear fender of Ryan Tedesco. Tedesco would start on the front row with Bubba Smith to the outside. Bubba Smith gets a good start. Bubba starts to check out over the rest of field but not by much. Lap 38, a caution waves for the #3 of Dave Martin spins on own in turn two. Also, Alex Rosenberry had right front problems and cut a tire and made it off the track, when he was battling with Ryan Tedesco. On the Start, it has Bubba Smith and Ryan Tedesco. Smith would going into the lead and Glenn Gualt Jr follows behind Smith. To the Checkered flag, your winner, in the #12 of Bubba Smith. Following Smith was Gualt Jr, Tedesco, Mills, and Bryant Smith.
Truck Feature, seen its biggest truck count all season. #22 of Jaberg and #751 of Bedard started on the front row, and caution came right out for a failed restart. Green again, for the 15 lap feature, Jaberg went into the early lead. Lap 1, caution came out for the #4 into the #72 of Cordia in turn two. Green would wave as Linard and Jaberg on front row, Jaberg was putting on a show, but on lap 2, #4 spins on own off turn four on his own. Green flag would wave, with Jaberg and Cordia on the front row. Cordia would go into the lead. Cordia would take over the lead. On Lap 7, 3 wide battle for the lead between Linard, Cordia, and Anderson. Linard would pull into the lead. On lap 9, Anderson started to battle Linard and got around linard for the lead. On lap 11, the caution waved for the #751 for blowing up in turn two. On the restart it had Anderson and Linard. Anderson would pull into the lead. To the checkered was the #32 but After post-race tech, the #32 did not pass, giving the win to #82 of Joe Linard. Following Linard was Orr, Cordia, Varnes, Squires. Heat was to Joe Linard
First of two compact features, yes TWO. First one was an amazing race. #24 of Shreffler and #169 of Clark on the front row. Shreffler pulled into an early lead. Everyone beind him started to battle and just give a little love tap to one another. The car on the move was the #4 of Salsberry. Lap 13, seen the first caution of the 15 lap race for the # 19 of Oliver getting into #4 of Salsberry in turn 1.On the restart it was Shreffler and Salesberry. Shreffler pulled into the lead and on the white flag, Shreffler opened up the inside when Salsberry was to the outside. 3 wide for the lead down the back straightaway. Off of turn four, to the win was the #46 of Christian Bailey. Following Bailey was Shreffler, Salsberry, Jaberg, and Ennis.
Second Feature, went flag to flag. Striejewske and Corbitt put on a show up from. Laney, keep looking to the inside and outside of Corbitt for the remaining 10 laps. Off of turn four, Corbitt came across the line in first by just a foot, if not less, to Striejewske. Following Corbitt was Striejewske, Keller Jr, Buckey, and McDounld. Heats to Fredrick, Shreffler, and France.
MAIN EVENT SUNDAY INFO

This coming Sunday, September 6th, the Main Event Racing Series Super Late Models will be in town for the J.D. Byrider 75. Open Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Compacts will also race in addition to a huge fireworks display.
Now, this coming Sunday, September 6th, the built engine Modifieds will get their chance with a 40-lap, $1,200 to win/$200 to start feature event as part of the Main Event show. Last year, a great field of crate and built engine Modifieds put on an awesome show to a jam packed grandstand.
The Modified division will be using Lorain, Sandusky, and Midvale rules and tires with a 50 pound weight break and 4 barrels also allowed for Midvale cars. 602 crate cars will also be running for additional bonus money. $200 will be paid to the highest finishing 602 crate car, with $100 for second, and $50 for third.
The 40-lap payout will be $1,200, 700, 600, 500, 400, 350, 300, 250, 225, and 200 to start. $100 tow money will be paid to those who attempt but don't make the show.
Main Event Super Late Models, Street Stocks, and Compacts will also race. Fireworks will be shot off by 10:00-10:30.
Pit gates Sunday open at 1:00,
Grandstands at 2:00, with hotlaps for Main Event cars from 2:00-2:45 and 4:15-4:45.
Open Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Compacts will have rotating sessions between 2:45 and 4:15. Qualifying is set for 4:45 with group qualifying for Compacts and Street Stocks followed by single car qualifying for Open Modifieds and Super Late Models. Racing action will start at 6:30.
Grandstand admission is $20 for adults and seniors with kids 6-15 getting in for $10. Pit admission is $35
Additional practices will be held on Friday and Saturday from 4:00-8:00. $10 pit admission.
